I'm Joachim, a documentary filmmaker, director of photography, and hybrid shooter. I work across film and stills simultaneously, because the best stories don't wait for you to switch cameras.

Over the past decade I've worked across humanitarian, human rights, and adventure storytelling. From South Sudan with UNICEF to the archives of the USC Shoah Foundation, and as DOP alongside Academy Award-winning filmmaker Vanessa Roth on her upcoming documentary Righteous Roadtrip.

I work 70% film, 30% stills, always hybrid. One workflow, one creative vision, two mediums working together. Alongside my partner Raïs De Weirdt through our creative studio Story Remote, we embed with adventure and impact brands in the field. We don't shoot your brand from the outside. We live it with you and bring it back in film and stills.
